Villa de Dolphiné was a motel where the McCallister family stayed during a brief Christmas vacation to Miami, Florida.
History[]
Because Kevin had his father Peter's credit card and most of the money that his father brought for the trip when he became separated from the family at O'Hare Airport in Chicago, they had to go to the cheap motel, with which they were unimpressed. Frank commented, "It didn't look this bad on our honeymoon." The family stayed at the motel until they got a call from the police saying that Kevin was located in New York City at the Plaza Hotel by tracking Peter's credit card.[1]

The Villa de Dolphiné was filmed at the former Rochelle's Motel, located in 3333 Lakewood Boulevard, Donald Douglas Drive, Long Beach, CA. The motel had closed prior to filming and the production team managed to lease the property to shoot all the motel scenes. The motel was demolished after production ended.
